As a revalidated AVID site, Sequoia will continue to serve as a model for schools across Southern California. This honor highlights Sequoia’s dedication to academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and equitable access to high-quality education. These multiple distinctions solidify Sequoia’s place as a leader in student achievement and a model of innovation for middle schools nationwide.

Sequoia Middle School’s Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program builds upon the strong foundation established in elementary school, continuing to develop students' bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural proficiency. As part of Fontana Unified School District’s commitment to multilingual education, our middle school DLI program ensures that students receive rigorous academic instruction in both English and Spanish, preparing them for advanced coursework, including the Seal of Biliteracy in high school. Through engaging, content-rich instruction, students enhance their language skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures, equipping them with the tools needed for success in a global society.
